Problem:  You login to Armada iLincs and the browser is stuck on this screen:

Explanation:  iLincs uses older technologies that are not compatible with the defaults of Internet Explorer 11.  iLincs will currently NOT run in other web browsers, such as Google Chrome.  It will only run in Internet Explorer 10 or 11.  This will guide you through changing the settings in Internet Explorer 11 that will allow iLincs to work.

Solution:

(Note: You should only have do perform the following steps once per computer.)

  1. Open the Armada iLincs 32 icon from the desktop.
  2. Click the Gear symbol in the upper right corner of the screen and click on Compatibility View settings.

  3. ilincs.com should already be listed under Add this website, so you should only need to click Add and then click Close.

  4. You can now login to iLincs.

  5. Once you're logged in, you will progress past the screen you were previously stuck on, and may see the screen below.  Check the box next to Do not ask again until the next update is available and click Later.

  6. Finally, you'll see the screen below.  Check the box next to I accept the risk and want to run this application,.  Click the blue circle and check the box next to Do not show this again for apps from the publisher and location above.  Click Run.

  7. Once you are logged in, If after a few minutes iLincs still indicates it is OFFLINE in the lower left corner, you need to disable Windows Defender SmartScreen.

  8. Click the Gear icon in the upper right corner, then select "Safety", and the select "Turn off Windows Defender SmartScreen...".  Select the "Turn off Windows Defender SmartScreen" button, then click "OK".

  9. iLincs should indicate it is ONLINE after a short wait.  You should now be logged into iLincs.

  10. If iLincs is still not working properly, you can try adding it to the "Trsuted Sites" list.

  11. Click the Gear Icon, then select "Internet options".  In the window that pops up, select the "Security" tab, then click on the Trusted Sites Green Checkmark zone icon.

  12. Drag the Security Level slider to "Medium" or "Medium-Low".  If you do not see the slider control, click either the "Default Level" or the "Reset all zones to default level" button.

  13. Then click the "Sites" button, and enter *.ilincs.com into the "Add this website..." field, then click the "Add" button.

  14. Click "Close" or "OK" on any open dialog windows.
