Due to the lack of signal strength in the EOC, a Verizon 4G LTE Extender has been installed.  It does have several requirements:

  1. You must use Verizon.
  2. Your Verizon account must have HD Voice enabled.
  3. Your Verizon cell phone must be HD Voice capable, and have it enabled.

Information from Verizon on HD Voice for both Android and Apple devices can found here.

Once those requirements are fulfilled, there's nothing you need turn on or off to use the 4G LTE extender.  To test that your phone and account are compatible, go into the EOC or Fire Apparatus bays and dial #48 on your device.  If you hear "Welcome to Verizon Wireless. You are on 4G LTE Network Extender coverage with ID XYZ." your phone is using the extender.  If you don't hear that, wait a few minutes, and try again.  If it's still not working, please contact the helpdesk at x4000 and we'll assist you.
