Dell Optimizer can sometimes interfere with some peripherals. We can fix the issue in a few steps:
1. Go to the Windows Start Menu and search for "optimizer" or " Dell Optimizer". See below for reference and click on the application.
Change the toggle from ENABLED to "Off". Your microphone should work after that.
